Overview
Civil engineering and surveying firm DRMP turned to Zebra RFID to increase asset control, security, and visibility for the hundreds of high-value tools that move between remote worksites and its storage sites for large government and private projects.
The Challenge
DRMP needed to track and manage high-value surveying equipment—cameras, drones, and LIDAR scanners—as it traveled to worksites across multiple states, without manual counts and serial-number logging.
The Solution
Handheld RFID readers paired with Android tablets and on-metal RFID tags let DRMP account for tools in real time without manually reading serial numbers—improving auditing, recoverability, and proof of ownership for assets in the field.
